Major General L. Scott Rice

Brigadier General L.
Scott Rice is currently Assistant Adjutant General for the Massachusetts Air
National Guard, and Wing Commander of the 104th Fighter Wing. Rice is an Eagle Scout, who earned an engineering degree from Rensalaer
Polytechnic Institute and was a member of their AFROTC program. After
graduation he became a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force flying the
F-111 Supersonic fighter. He is a graduate of the Air Force Fighter
Weapons School, which is the Air Force equivalent of the Navy ‘Top Gun’
school. After leaving the active military he became a fighter pilot for
the 104th Fighter Wing, at Barnes Airport in Westfield.
In his civilian life, he is a
Captain for United Airlines, and has been a longtime Scoutmaster of Troop 210 in
Southampton. He lives in Southampton, MA with his wife Nancy, and has two grown
children, a daughter Alex and a son Lee, who is an Eagle
Scout.
